BillyStiX Rods Details
Billy builds inshore casting and spinning rods, offshore casting and spinning rods, as well as trolling rods of all sizes. And all by hand (that’s ‘really’ by hand–one wrap at a time!). BillyStiX rods are fitted to your particular fishing needs, not the needs decided upon by the ‘Marketing Department’ of some large rod factory. If you need it, Billy can build it.
“For a million bucks!,” you say.
You’ll be surprised at just how economical BillyStiX rods are, compared with other ‘custom’ rod makers. Remember, these rods are made for a lifetime of use.

Great pictures, good quaility and vivid colors of the products. I like the new site, i don’t know whats hotter the rods or the models lol…. I see that you have many distinctive logos/themes on the rods, any military (army) themes or logos that you can show if you have done any in the past? Great work to the site!!!!

hi juan
yes, i have done many militry themed rods. marine ,airforce, navy, special force’s army, i can build camo rods aswell, if you contact me i will be happy to send you sample’s of some of the militry themed rods that i have built in the past, there is not much that i have not done or at least tried,
i also do foot ball themed rods mostly collage and i can do the pro stuff but i can not gey decals for those because of the fringement’s right’s.
also i am able to have a lot of different thing’s made for various company’s if you can provide me with a good clear photo of you logo and that type thing then i can most times have it copied at at a very reasonable rate, but this will vary due to the art charge, sometimes there are no art charge then again there is it truly just depends on what you have in mind.
i do corporate logo’s all the time, a lot of corporate people need a sponsor gift and they don’t know what to get, well a nice custom buit rod at let’s just saywith a custom corporate designed logo copied for your company and the name of the person on the rod or perhaps any script that you might want to include on the custom rod this can be done for around $300 dollar’s now this is not written in stone it very well could be 450 less however it could be $50 more just depends on what you and i get toghther on and decide will work best for you and your company.
you will find that a custom billystix spiral work’s wonder’s in a case where you get “what can i get uncle bill” he has everthing already”
now you have found the answer billystix custom rods can fill the bill with out breaking the bank.
give me a shout on your next hard to please gift.
looking forward to woirking with you on your next project.

Billy,
I have been admiring your work for some time now and plan to be a customer soon. I like the new site ALMOST as much as the models. The site is informative and the pictures are great. I know that when building a custom rod the price can get high quick, so with that said the only thing that you might want to add are some base model prices to give us more of an idea.
Anyways I would appreciate it if you would enter me into the free rod contest.
Keep up the great work!!

Hi Billy,
I talked to ya today and plan to get my WaderStix ordered today or tomorow. Thanks for all the information and help. I saw this new website on 2Cool and thought I’d get entered. Who knows, maybe I’ll get 2 WaderStix!
I’ve been drooling over these custom rods for many years and I think I owe myself one for my 60th birthday.
Thanks again

The site is very nice. I would look at the possibility of adding a section that gives an overview of your most requested or suggested rods by action and the rod you suggest for a specific type of fishing. For instance, I fish a lot for bass but also love to fish for specs with topwaters. Is there a specific rod (baitcaster) that you would recommend that would work well for both species? Or should i just bite the bullet and get dedicated rods for each fish and type of bait I am working? I realize a worm rod is not comparable with a spinnerbait rod but isnt there a good match that allows a good feel with a strong backbone when you need to horse something. Sometimes a bull red may have a tendency to eat the bait I am offering to a finicky trout and a solid backbone would really help.
Looking for answers.

Ive seen your support for the 2Cool site for a long time and wanted to return the favor. Im interested in getting one of your spiral wound waderstix. It looks like the 6’9″ model is what most waders or choosing.
Maybe I will get lucky and win one in a drawing. Then I’ll have to get another one to keep the first one company.
Your dediction and commitment to customer satisfaction allow you to set yourself apart. Good luck with the new site and continued success in you Art.

i would suggest in your case a med action rod in a fast action blank, this will give you enough back bone as well as give you a fairly light tip so that you could throw both top waters as well as light jig’s.
another thing to remember is that all rod blank’s are not created equal, by this i mean i can offfer you one brand of blank that will vary somwhat in it’s action as well as it’s strenghth, but yet it will be rated the same as another blank but it will say have a bit more back bone but yet it will have the tip you are looking for.
it’s just knowing what blank is going to deliver what action, and this is the reason that i insist we talk one on one so that i can fully understand your need’s. now at this point i feel i can build you the rod that you are looking to have built and hoping for. so far i have a pretty good batting average if i were to guess my sucess rate i would say on a scale of 1 to 10 i feel i can rate my self at about 9 , and this come’s a lot from just you and i talking and me doing a lot of listeing.
so if at at any time any one wan’t's to call for a quote feel free to do so, i will never knowinling let a customer down.
looking forward to building for you.
