Hey Billy,
Saw your post on 2cool. I have visited your old site in the past but this is a major improvement. I would only suggest that you give your customers the opportunity to post thier catches in a photo gallery on the site. There is nothing that saless a good product more than customer testimonials w/ pictures to back it up. I’ve always enjoyed looking at photos that testify to how great a product is. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts. Happy fishing!

Marcus–and everyone…if you have some good BillyStiX photos, email them to us with a few words and we’ll get them posted. Best email is empypockts@aol.com Images should be in JPG format, about 4×6 inches at 72 DPI

I fish the bays of south central Texas mainly for Speckled trout and Redfish. For trout, I prefer a 1/16 jig head with a bass assasin attached. I’m looking for a spinning rod that will throw that jig a mile. I’d also like it to be able to handle Redfish. What would you recommend and what would be a ballpark price?
Thanks,
John

Thanks again

This site is fantastic, just like me rod you built me. I have enjoyed fishing with this rod more than any other rod I have ever used. With just one of your rods it is difficult to grab a different rod to cast with. Sure would like to win one of those free rod contests.
Not sure how you can improve this site any better other than show some pictures of work in progress, Would not want you to give away any of your secrets though.
Its cool to follow you and all your customers on 2coolfishing.
Again, Thank yo for a rod well built,
Andy

Hey Billy, I was reading the 2Cool post about you wanting some input for a promo. I am travelling the west coast and can’t reply on 2Cool until I get home. Anyways, how bout a redfish ‘SPOTS’ fishing contest for a month or so. Post a picture of you with a BillyStix and one side of the redfish, showing the spots. Winner gets ????? Just a thought.
PS: Please don’t start the contest before October. That’s when I’ll be home and get my WaderStix!
Thanks and I hope this helps,
Karl

I JUST TODAY COMPLETD A VERY NICE SAINT’S ROD WHICH AS YOU ALL KNOW IS BLACK,GOLD, WITH A LITTLE WHITE.
NOW WHAT IS VERY COOL ABOUT THIS ROD IS THAT IT IS A SPLIT EVA GRIP AND WEIGH’S JUST ALMOST NOTHING, AND THE NEW THREAD THAT I HAVE BEEN HOARDING AND LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO USE HAS AT LAST SHOWED UP ON THIS “”TEXAS WADERSTIX” AND ALL I CAN SAY IS AT THIS POINT IS THAT IT IS GOING TO BE A TOTALLY AWESOME BUILD WHEN COMPLETED, IT’S NOT OFTEN THAT I GET REALLY KICKED UP ABOUT A ROD BUT THIS LINE IS JUST WAY COOL, AND IT STIR’S THE TROUT MAN IN ME “”REEL”" BAD.

hi bruce
sorry about the delay in responding to your inquiry, but i somehow missed your contact.
any way the best thing for you to do is to give me a call at 352 377 5894 for your rod need’s and you will get the personal service that you need when it come’s to having the perfect custom rod built for that special fishing adventure, i would recomed a 6ft6 rather than the one you had asked about, but of course if this is what you want and need then by golly it’s a go, many rod length’s to choose from from billystix custom rod’s.
looking forward to working with you on your new custom “spiralstix” please feel free to give me a call at any time for personal service. “”customer service ” priority one.

Billy,
my name is mike mclaughlin in houston, tx. In october
my wife purchased a rod from you and i am finally getting around to getting
it done. My wife was feferred to you by Jeff McMath and he showed me
some of your work. Preety impressive. I usually throw a 6.6 castaway or
a 6.6 all-star 10mx. Both are medium action. As far as design goes I really like
the stars and bars maybe coupled with my namesake scottish plaid. Look
forward to hearing from you.

Billy, we spoke about a week ago. We fish texas coastal waters for big trout and reds and I need a rod for my wife. We discussed pink and purple. I want her name on it which is Cora Kay. I want the state of Texas on it also. 6’9″ will be perfect. I want a speck on it of course. What are some other options? I know you said something about three lines. another question, are all of your bay rods spiral?

Billy, finally got logged on since we talked a few weeks ago. Been fishin’. We fish Texas gulf coast waters mainly for big trout, reds, and flounder. Totally artificial. I spoke to you a while back for a rod for my wife, the mainly pink with purple highlights. 6′ 9″ would be perfect. I want her name on it, which is Cora Kay. I want the state of Texas on it and a speck. What are some of the other options for this style rod? Are all of your bay rods spiral?
